Distributed Fiber Optic Vibration Monitoring System

The distributed optical fiber vibration measuring system is mainly composed of a vibration measuring host, a vibration-sensing optical cable and monitoring software. Based on OTDR technology, through detecting interference Rayleigh echo scattered light, information such as phase and polarization state of the vibration position of the optical cable is identified after photoelectric conversion, and real-time monitoring of distributed vibration is realized by means of demodulation algorithm. The detection distance of the system can reach up to 50 kilometers, and targets with positioning accuracy of 5 meters within 10 kilometers and 20 meters within 50 kilometers can be realized.For strong vibration signals,the frequency  and time domain waveform of external vibration sources can be accurately identified in real time, and the time-frequency characteristics of vibration sources can be accurately analyzed.
