Solid Dosimetric Detector & Method Laboratory (DML) has been engaged in the study of solid state dosimetry since the beginning of 1960's. The department of TLD in DML is a producer of thermoluminescent detectors for various fields of radiation dosimetry; Radiation protection, medical physics, environmental monitoring etc.
LiF: Mg, Cu, P was first produced by Nakajima et al. In 1978 in powder form. This material had some drawbacks such as a relatively high zero signal, an inconvenience in handling and a poor reproducibility. LiF: Mg, Cu, P in solid form (square chip in 1984 and circular chip in 1987) was first prepared successfully in this lab(DML).
One of the most promising new thermoluminescence (TL) materials is LiF: Mg, Cu, P. The basic aspects, dosimetric properties and handling procedures have been extensively discussed over recent years and nowadays several varieties are commercially available in many forms (powder, polycrystalline hot pressed chips, sintered circular chips, thin films on Kapton substrates). Its main advantages are the high sensitivity, good tissue equivalence, almost flat energy response, low fading rate, linear dose response and good stability at ambient temperatures and the shorter annealing procedures.
Today, DML can offer you a broad spectrum of our products: GR-100 series LiF: Mg, Ti with natural, Li-6 or Li-7 lithium composition, high sensitive GR-200 series LiF: Mg, Cu, P also with different Li composition.
