Ke'an fire collars for plastic pipes are a series of new-generation fire collars jointly developed by China Engineering Physics Research Institute, Jiuyuan Technology, Sichuan University, Southwest Technical University and Ke'an polymer Fireproof Material Factory. They are manufactured in accordance with CJJ/T29-98 Architectural Hard Polyvinyl Pipe Engineering technological Regulations and other standards. They contain intumescent compounds which when exposed to fire conditions, expand under press to seal off penetrations within 6 minutes. They have not only a low initial expansion temperature, but also a high expansion coefficient. Fire collars can be installed around pipes that pass through floor slabs and walls. They are widely used in telecommunication, optical cables, electric cables, hospitals, schools, archives.
