Shenzhen Kangtai Biological Products Co., Ltd. (SKTB) was founded in July 1988, and is one of the first authorized hi-tech enterprises in Shenzhen.
SKTB is engaged in researching, developing and producing vaccines and other biological products, combining science, technology, production and trade into an integrated entity. At present, SKTB focuses attention on production of yeast recombinant hepatitis B vaccine.
SKTB has invested 280 million-yuan (RMB) and covers land area of about 22, 400 square meters and a construction area of 23, 900 square meters. The factories, up to GMP standards, have already been built with advanced process equipment and quality control apparatus. SKTB is proud of her 200 young, highly educated and talented staff, 15 of which are senior engineers and engineers. Among those, more than ten highly educated engineers have been trained in the field of engineering, process and quality control in U. S. A.
SKTB has introduced advanced technology and process design from Merck & Co., Inc. (Merck) in U. S. A. To produce Recombinant Hepatitis B Vaccine with a yeast expression system. The production line consists of 12 function assembled modules with key processing equipment made in U. S. A. Many kinds of technology have been used, including Clean in Place, Steam in Place, Microcomputer control Fermentation, Microfiltration, Ultrafiltration, Centrifugation, Chromatography, and so on. SKTB has introduced in a automatic filling and packaging line from BOSCH. And the filling-package facility is designed and built by KCS in Holland, according to GMP standard.
Our production line has reached an international advanced level in the 1990's, which produces biological products with recombinant DNA technology on a large scale. It will have profound significance in developing the biotechnology industry and in achieving the purpose to prevent Hepatitis B in China.
